Tour of Carson City
Sun, May 6th 9:00 am
Fuji Park Exhibit Hall
Join us for the 11th Annual Tour of Carson City bike ride and picnic lunch. Enjoy bicycling in Carson City with Denis and Viola as they celebrate the 11th anniversary of Bike Habitat. The ride will begin at Fuji Park and tour around the perimeter of Carson City for a moderately paced 27-30 mile bike ride. Lunch will be provided and all are welcome.


Carson City Invitational Celebrity Ride
Thur, May 10th 11:00 am
McFadden Plaza
VIPs from around the city will hop on their bikes and ride with us as we trace the steps of Kit Carson through historic Carson City by following the Blue Line on our bikes.


Bike to Work Week
Mon-Fri, May 14-18
Commute to work work all week. Participants in the Bike Commuter Challenge can compete to earn the title for most miles ridden.

Ride/Walk of Silence
Wed, May 16th 6:00 pm
Telegraph Square
The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. There are no registration fees. The ride aims to raise awareness of safety issues facing all road users. It is also a chance to show respect for and honor the lives of those who have been killed or injured. This year, Muscle Powered has widened the scope of this event to include walkers/pedestrians.


No Zombie Texting Video Awards

Brewery Arts Center – Black Box Theater
This video competition provided students the opportunity to create impactful 30-second video public service announcements to educate about the dangers of texting and driving as it impacts walkers and bicyclists. We have five :30 student videos that will be shown, and video teams will talk about their creative collaborative efforts. NOTE: The video awards ceremony is just after the Ride/Walk of Silence.


Bike & Music Festival
Fri, May 18th 6:00pm
Come celebrate Bike to Work Week where winners of the Bike Commuter Challenge will be announced, entertaining games will be held, and fabulous prizes will be raffled. Hick’ry Switch will provide entertainment on the outdoor stage at McFadden Plaza.


West Side Cruiser Ride
Thur, May 24th, Meet up 5:30 pm, Start time 6:00 pm
Brewery Arts Center
Where your costume, decorate your bike, and just have fun. Everyone is welcome to join this community ride through the west end of Carson City. You never know who you’ll run into on this ride with an eclectic collection of crazy bikes and even crazier people!


Full Moon Mountain Bike Night Ride
Tues, May 29th (Full Moon)
Join us on a night ride through some of the best single track in the region. Bring your lights because we’re riding in the dark. Meetup at Foothill Dr at 6:45 pm.


Ladies’ Mountain Bike Ride
Every Tuesday throughout the summer.
Join the ladies on a mountain biking adventure through the Sierra. The group meets up at 5:30 pm at the parking lot on Foothill Rd just off Winnie Ln.


Road Bike Rides
Every Sunday all year long (weather permitting)
Meetup at Freemont Elementary School parking lot at 8 am and enjoy riding road bikes around Carson City. The riders splits up into two groups: the hares (riders who wish to go faster and longer), and the tortoises, who enjoy a slower paced ride.
