Many of us Carson City residents travel to the Carson Valley for the great recreational and open space opportunities the area has available. Here is some news from the CVTA:
The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is developing a 10-year Strategic Plan to ensure that our future projects and services meet the hiking, mountain biking and equestrian needs of the Carson Valley community. Everyone interested in open space and access to the environment is encouraged to attend the first of 3 public workshops designed to give YOU a voice in this important process.

CVTA, founded in 1994, is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that works to obtain legal access to BLM and U.S. Forest Service trails and property for hiking, mountain biking and equestrian uses by the public.
